How the secret ballot protects you

Inside the polling station you enter the booth alone. No party agent, no employer, no official, no family member sees your paper. The ballot carries no name, no number tied to you, nothing that can trace your choice back to your hand. It goes into a sealed box among hundreds of others and is counted in the open, in front of observers from every party.

There is no list of who voted for whom. There has never been one. There cannot be one, because the paper itself is anonymous. Anyone who tells you that "they will know" is using fear, and they are lying.

What no one can do

• No employer can find out your vote or punish it.
• No government, this one or the next one, can find out your vote.
• No party, including this one, can find out your vote.
• No neighbour, however loud, can find out your vote.

What only you can do

Only you decide. In the booth, alone with the paper, every Seychellois is exactly equal: the minister and the fisherman, the hotel owner and the housekeeper. That minute is the most protected minute in the Republic. Use it for what you actually believe.

Register to vote

You can confirm your registration with the Electoral Commission of Seychelles at your district office or at ecs.sc. Check early. Bring your ID. Help your parents and grandparents check theirs.

Your vote is yours alone, and no one will ever see it. In 2030, use it for a Seychelles you can afford.
