The covenant

Your data, treated like it matters.

Political trust starts with data discipline. This is the covenant the movement makes with everyone on the Register, in plain language.

What we collect

When you enrol: your name, your district, one contact channel (phone or email), and an age band. Nothing else. We do not collect your ID number, your workplace, or anything about your household.

Why we collect it

To verify you are one real person (the contact channel), to show honest district-level totals (the district), and to understand the movement's reach (the age band). That is the entire purpose.

What we will never do

  • Publish your name, unless you explicitly ask to be listed publicly.
  • Sell, rent, trade or "share" the Register with anyone, for any price.
  • Send your data outside the party's systems.
  • Contact you more than sparingly, and never after you say stop.

Your rights

The Data Protection Act 2023 and our own covenant both give you rights. Ask what we hold on you and we show you. Ask us to correct it and we do. Ask to be removed and you are, completely, within days. One message to cm@sum.sc does any of these.

Security

Access to the Register is restricted to named officers, logged, and reviewed. Backups are encrypted. The full technical policy is published before the live Register opens.
